DOM PÉRIGNON

VINTAGE ROSÉ 2008

Harmony, the founding quest of Maison Dom Pérignon, is built here on contrasts and oppositions that sometimes border on contradiction.

About this vintage

This loud and clear fruit, this remarkably intense aromatic persistence, this total coherence opens up all the possibilities. Freeing itself from the Champagne canons, reinterpreting conventions, Dom Pérignon reveals the 2008 vintage through a bold blend built on the pinot noirs from the “Chants de Linottes” plots in Hautvillers and the “Vauzelles” in Aÿ. Their fruitiness and structure put the precision and natural brilliance of the wines into tension with even more flesh and gravity.

Our Oenologist's opinion

Dress
A beautiful salmon dress.

Nose
The bouquet opens instantly with raspberry and wild strawberry. Powdery notes of iris and violet quickly mingle with the fruit and settle in. When inhaled, we finally see greener nuances emerge, closer to privet, angelica and camphor leaf.

Mouth
The first sensations are tactile, fleshy, silky. They gradually unfold and then become firmer. The hint of acidity, the signature of the vintage, wraps itself in the structure of the pinot to reveal the heart of the wine. The finish asserts itself.
