EXTRA OLD 2

Extra Brut Extra Old 2 is composed of reserve wines from the 1990, 1998, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012 harvests. These reserve wines were aged for at least 3 years in vats before being chosen for their characteristics of freshness and aromatic complexity. The blend brings together around twenty vintages from the entire Champagne region (Montagne de Reims, Côte des Bar, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne et de l'Ardre, Massif de Saint Thierry). The cuvée is based on the region's 3 grape varieties: 45% Pinot Noir, 27% Chardonnay and finally 28% Meunier, chosen from the collection of reserve wines. After the fermentation, the wines are matured for at least three additional years in the Maison's Crayères in order to perfect their aromatic balance. Thanks to the richness and smoothness of the reserve wines, the blend of Extra Brut Extra Old 2 requires only a very low dosage (3 g/L of sugar).
